Our Story
Hey, we're Abney Farms, owned and operated by Derek and Kristin Abney in Paint Lick, Kentucky. Derek is a fourth generation cattle farmer and is fortunate enough to still be farming on the land that his great-grandfather purchased over 70 years ago!
Continuing on with the cattle farming tradition, in 2015 we ventured into raising products in the greenhouse, such as hanging baskets, vegetable plants, and a few bedding plants. In recent years, we have started raising produce to supply not only to our family but our community as well!
We raise our animals and produce with the utmost stewardship in order to preserve our land as our ancestors did. So that we can continue the tradition of passing the land to our future generations.
